How Does Sprig Tattoo’s Pricing Work?

Generally, asking “how much does a tattoo cost” is very similar to asking “how much does a car cost?” The answer to both questions: it depends! Here are some of the factors that I will use when estimating the price of your tattoo:

  • Where is the tattoo located? Is it in a “difficult” spot?
  • How large is the tattoo? (Note: small tattoos aren’t necessarily cheaper than large… because of the next two questions)
  • How detailed is the proposed design? (I only do custom designs or my own flash)
  • How much colour? Is there black-and-white shading, colour highlights, or a full rainbow?
  • Is this a Flash Piece? This is a pre-designed piece that I have done that is available for purchase. If you aren’t sure what to get this is a great place to start.

For this reason, it is difficult to provide a range without a personal consultation. Luckily, you can request a 20-min consultation with me held via Zoom here at no charge. During this meeting, I will walk you through your design idea and provide a rough estimate of price. After the design stage is completed, you will get a final price before the appointment begins.

To secure your tattoo appointment, a non-refundable $100 deposit fee is required, which will be deducted from the final cost of your tattoo. This deposit ensures that your chosen date and time are reserved exclusively for you. Please note that the deposit must be submitted within 48 hours of your consultation to confirm your appointment.

In the event of a missed appointment, a new booking process will be required, including the submission of a new deposit. Please note that the original deposit will be forfeited in such cases.

Does Sprig Have A Minimum Fee?

Yes! Even if you got a single dot on your hand, there are many costs that go into the setup and teardown, including:

  • Infection Prevent and Control: Each new tattoo requires a new set of disposable covers, seat covers, tray covers, dental bibs, tapes, plastic wraps, wash bottles, gloves, tongue depressors, studio cleaning, and more.
  • Tattoo Setup: Each new tattoo requires a full cap of ink, needles, razors, glides, aftercare products, and more.
  • Consultation, scheduling, and design time, even for a dot.

For these reasons and more, the minimum charge is $150 to work with me.

Flash (Off The Wall) Pricing

If you visit the Off The Wall section of my website, you’ll find a variety of original designs available for purchase. Each piece is individually priced, so everything is clearly laid out with no guesswork.

Final pricing may vary slightly depending on size, placement, and whether you choose black and grey or colour, but in most cases, the listed price is accurate.

A deposit is still required to secure your booking, and as with all my projects, it will be applied toward the final cost of your tattoo.
